谨祝大家新年好！今年的春节联欢会，无论规模、内容、设备都更胜往昔。不但有全新的音响设备，三十多个表演节目涵盖歌舞、小品、诗歌、相声、武术、魔术等多个种类，还聘请了专业演员为大家助兴。经多个商家的赞助，届时还将有近二十个游艺、文化展位。每位小朋友在联欢会后都可以领取一份新年礼物，请一定不要错过。联欢会票成人儿童均$10一张，含餐饮。网上购票请点击这里。凭网上收据到学校换成实票。2/9联欢会当天 11：30以前亦可在 H Room 购票。联欢会时间安排为：

HXGNY Chinese New Year Gala 02/09/2014

Happy new year to everyone! HXGNY is getting ready for our biggest celebration to welcome the Year of the Horse! With multiple sponsors’ support, we are now equipped with brand new audio-visual equipment. Including the professionals, we now have over 30 performances including singing, dancing, magic, cross-talk, short play, and many others. After the performance, each kid will receive a goody bag.Event Ticket:
All tickets (kids and adults) will be $10 per ticket. Each ticket will cover lunch and water. Lunch includes boxed Chinese lunch or pizza and one bottle of water.Please click here to purchase online ahead of time. After you purchase online, you will need to bring the receipt to school and exchange for actual paper tickets in H room on 2/9.
Please note: All students and performers need to purchase tickets.

Agenda:
Lunch: 12:00- 1:30 PM, either Chinese boxed lunch or pizza, in the Cafeteria, H Room, Faculty Cafeteria
Kids Activities: 12:45-1:45 PM, in the hallway outside of Auditorium
Performances: 2 – 4PM, Auditorium。

1. Classroom rules

HXGNY Admin team would like to remind all parents, students and teachers to follow White Plains High School classroom rules. It’s imperative to leave the classroom the way it was. Parents please inform your child/children:

Placing stickers on Smartboards, monitors, or any other place in a classroom is NOT permitted.
No writing on Smartboards at all!
No one is allowed to be in a teacher’s desk area or filing cabinet..

Teachers, please pay special attention to teachers’ corner to be sure you left everything the way they were.

2. HXGNY School Yearbook – Class Photo Taking Sunday 02/09

To prepare for HXGNY’s first edition of yearbook, we will take class pictures on Feb 09, 2014. Please dress your child appropriately. If you don’t want your child to be in the class pictures, please send an email to hxgnyadmin@googlegroups.com and provide your child’s name and class/grade (such as MLP G3 C2).

The proximate time of photo-taking:
Pre-K, K, G1, G2, G3: 9:30-10:30 AM
G4, G5, G6, G7, G8, G9, AP: 10:30-11:30 AM
Culture Classes: during class time.

3. School Directory Pickup
Please come to information desk in H-Room this Sunday from 10:00 – 12:00 to pickup your 2013 – 2014 School Directory. Please be noted that each family is distributed with one copy only.

4. No Adult Class this Sunday
Adult class will be officially open on 02/16 for spring 2014 semester. There will be no adult class this Sunday. Please assist your kids and their classes to prepare for the Chinese New Year Celebration and class photo-taking.

华夏大纽约元宵游行（02/16）

二月十四日是农历正月十五，中国传统的元宵节，又称为“上元节”。这是春节之后的第一个重要节日。为庆祝中国的这一传统节日，华夏大纽约将在二月十六日举办唐装日/华灯游行。游行将于11：15am开始，起始于B楼的南侧门，绕行C楼回廊。学前班至三年级学生将以班为单位参加。希望小朋友们穿上中国传统服装参加游行。其他年级的学生可自愿、自由加入游行。在游行终点，每一个参加游行的同学都会得到一个礼品红包。希望家长能够为孩子准备游行用灯笼，购买、学生自制皆可。当日学校也备有灯笼，以便大家购买。

HXGNY Lantern Parade (02/16)

February 14, the fifteenth day after Chinese New Year, is the first major Chinese festival of the year, the Lantern Festival. To celebrate this traditional holiday, HXGNY will host a Chinese costume day/lantern parade on 02/16. Students are encouraged to dress in traditional Chinese costumes. The parade will start at 11:15 am from the south gate of B building and go along the C building hallway. Pre-K to 3rd grade students will parade in groups of their classes. Other grades students, on voluntary basis, are also welcome to join as individuals or groups. Chinese goodie bags will be given out at the end of the parade. All participants should parade with a lantern, either purchased or homemade. Please see below for the Lantern Festival History and tips on how to make lanterns. You can also purchase lantern from the organizers on the day of the parade.

中國經典民俗風情舞劇《十裏紅妝》購票信息
