“Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts” Inside Out
Sunday 9/20, 10-11am, B registration room
Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts are the largest youth organization in America, with long history of training youths for leadership, courage, and confidence through many outdoor and educational activities.
We are lucky to have 4 Scout leaders forming a lively panel to share with us about this great American tradition. Eric Liverance is currently an assistant Cub Master and has held many different leadership positions in Scarsdale’s Cub and Boy Scouts organization. Yadong Liu is the den leader of Webelos 5 (fifth graders) at pack 440 Scarsdale. Nicky Ungar has been a girl scout leader for 6 years and currently leads a 7th grade troop. Miriam Beveridge has been involved in scouting for over ten years as a leader and currently serves as manager of the Girl Scouts in Scarsdale and Edgemont.

Mid Autumn School Fair, 09/27, 12:30pm, Rain or Shine!

这 次 “欢庆中秋，野炊游艺” 活动学校投入很大，不但午餐种类多，游艺项目更是丰富多彩, 最大的亮点是 Mega Taumani Slide 和 Bouncy Castle。大人有中餐，学生有现烤的BBQ hotdogs & cheeseburgers 。组织的游艺活动有：拔河, 足球射门，接力赛，potato sack race, water balloon toss 等。 欢迎家长和小孩一起参加。公园另设有儿童游乐场，排球篮球场, 还有可容纳数百人的带棚凉亭。
9/13起每周日在学校B楼入口处购买。 票价10元/人，3岁以下儿童免费。9月27日当天购票$12。
志愿者招募：我们仍需要大量志愿者准备食品,饮料, 帮助烧烤，组织儿童活动。

Parents Club 9/10 Open Registration
家长俱乐部2015秋季班九月十日开通注册, 九月二十七日正式上课。俱乐部按学期收费并交全年一次性注册费$
Parents Club 2015 Fall Semester registration is open on Sep 10th. The first class starts on Sep 27th. The club tuition should be paid per semester with one-time annual registration fee of $40. There is no registration fee if you continue enrolling into the same club or change to a new club in Spring Semester. The registration system has all parent club list and tuition information. The Grandparents English Club and Tai-chi Club are free for grandparents, just pay one-time annual registration fee of $40 to join one or two clubs. Bagua Club and Parents Chorus Club have 50% tuition discount plus one-time annual registration fee of $40 for grandparents. Please register as soon as possible if you are interested. For those parents who want to join the Basketball Club or Badminton Club, please go to GYM and report to Club Captains directly, the club time is 9:55am -12:50pm. For those parents who want to join the Chess&Poker club, please show up at downstairs cafeteria, the club time is 9:55am – 12:50pm.

一年一度的HXGNY俱乐部杯网球公开赛已成为大纽约华夏中文学
2015 4th HXGNY Club Cup Tennis Open Tournament
HXGNY Tennis Club will host 4th HXGNY Club Cup Tennis Open Tournament starting on September 20, 2015 at White Plain High School. The tournament features Men’s singles, Women’s singles. Regular matches and play-offs will be played from September 20 to October 4. The finals are set on October 11. The registration is open now, please email your name and contact information to hao.li@einstein.yu.edu, all tennis fans are welcome. The detail of match format and schedule will be followed.

Westchester Association of Chinese Americans is seeking candidates for “WACA Outstanding Student Leadership and Community Service (OSLCS) Award” for 2015 – 2016 school year. Deadline for application of Oct 15 2015 WACA has offered the OSLCS Award to Chinese American students in the Westchester area since 2009. With enthusiastic participation from all local Chinese schools, the award program has served its mission and purpose very successfully. Every year for the past five years, three outstanding students have been selected as recipients of the award; these students have gone on to elite universities including Chicago, Columbia, Cornell, Dartmouth, Duke, Harvard, MIT, NYU Stern, Penn, Princeton, Stanford, and Yale.
Please download the two documents, “WACA OSLCS Award Program” and “WACA OSLCS Award Application Form,” which help explain the program’s purpose and procedures in more detail.
