As many of you have found out, our registration server has been unstable most of the time since the new year registration opened earlier today. This was triggered by the large visitor volume to our website, the high complexity of our registration system which surpasses other schools (with 51 language classes and 71 cultural classes plus all the options and combinations) and other issues. It has taken us these long excruciating hours trying everything and come to the regrettable conclusion that it won’t be back up today.
We held off on this announcement in the hopes that the system problem would be resolved soon. We have been working around the clock with the system vendor and hosting companies, investigated all likely causes, upgraded hosting systems, held status update with the vendor on hourly basis. Unfortunately, as acknowledged by our system vendor, this is not a case of quick fixes.
Please accept our most sincere apologies for the inconvenience and frustration this has caused all of you. While the system vendor cannot give us a firm time of when the system will be up and fully functioning, we do promise to keep you posted as soon as the system is back. For the parents that did successfully registered, your registration will be honored. For those who could not, there are still plenty of seats available.
We deeply appreciate your patience and continued support as we work through the system issues. We value the high priority you put on your children’s Chinese education; we are parents just like you, and we are working very hard to support all HXGNY families.
