Parenting book club 11:30 -12:30 this Sunday（09/23）

Dear parents,

This Sunday(9/19) we will start our first parenting book club meeting at White Plains High School. Since most parents are busy professionals, we will take turn read some chapters and outline the main ideas when we meet. After the main idea then we can start discussion. This way even we don’t have time to read the whole book, we can still still get the essence of the book.

We already finished the 1st book “Between parent and Child” since last May. This Sunday we will have a recap for the book, a brief review of the main idea of the book and what we have learnt from the book, what idea we have tried and worked for out kids.

For people we have not read it, this is a classic:

The concepts are time-tested and true to anyone looking to foster the best possible environment for their child. Ginot talks a lot about his experience with children (as a child psychiatrist) and is very effective in relaying how a child thinks, feels and behaves in response to our words, actions and inaction.
