•    5/31/2016星期二中午12点，现有家庭网上注册开通。
•    注册链接是http://reg.hxgny.org/Registration/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fRegistration
•    5/31 前的任何注册会被视为系统检测期间的试运行，在系统开通前被删除。
•    注册开始前，我们希望家长们：
•    开通Paypal 账户， 方便注册缴费。
•    登录学校注册网站，验证以下内容。
1.    用户名及密码。 如果你忘记了注册名或密码， 请点击“Forget Password”图标。
2.    更新联系方式 – 家庭电子邮箱和电话如有变化，请在注册系统里更新。
3.    查阅学校网站上关于2016-2017学年中文课和文化课的课程表及老师信息，作出选择。
•    语言课选择：
•    PreK至三年级的语言课程有9:00am-10:50am 和 11:00am-12:50pm两个时段
•    四年级以上语言课时间段是9:55am-11:55am (此时段新增CSL4班)
•    学生注册年龄
•    PreK，注册学生必须出生于12/31/2012以前
•    K， 注册学生必须出生于12/31/2011以前
•    一年级，注册学生必须出生于12/31/2010以前
•    更高年级的新学生将通过中文水平测试来决定年级安排
•    文化课选择:
•    PreK 和 K两个年级的学生只能注册课名以“学前”打头的文化课。
•    一到三年级的学生只能选择”小班少儿文化课“
•    四年级及以上的学生请选择“大班少儿文体课”
•    如果学生已注册语言课，第一门文化课免费（有特别收费的课程除外）；第二门文化课$180/每学年
•    如果只注册文化课， $320/每学年
•    7/10/2016之前注册的学生，每人可享受$50优惠。
•    各班级位置安排以缴清费用的时间先后为优先。强烈建议使用PayPal支付。信用卡支付会有一定的时间耽搁。网上注册不接受支票。
•    如果您注册时发现理想的班级已满，请选择其它班级注册，并发邮件至
hxgny-waitinglist@googlegroups.com，我们会帮您排号。
•    9/25/2016以前，每人在语言课和文化课中可以各免费转班一次。再次转班或9/25/2016后转班每次将加收$20转班费。

6/5/2016 星期天10:00am-1:00pm学校开放日及为所有家庭现场注册

•    6/5日星期天上午10:00am-1:00pm将举行一年一度的学校开放日，开放日当天我们会有多个注册台现场注册答疑，为所有新老家庭服务。
•    现场注册可以接受支票付款。如支票被退回，将加收$35 的手续费。
•    开放日期间我们安排了内容丰富的介绍，参观和教材展示，对新家庭和现有家庭来说都是了解新学年的好机会。大家将有机会与教师，学校管理人员，家长及学生交流，并从他们那里听到关于HXGNY的第一手资料， 如语言课和文化课的设置，为孩子和成人安排的活动等等。希望大家广为宣传，介绍各界朋友参加，让更多的家庭了解和走进华夏大纽约。

•    Please follow the Enroll link next to heading “School Year 2016-2017”on the home page or go to http://reg.hxgny.org/Registration/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fRegistration to register.
•    Any registration happened prior to noon 5/31/2016 will be treated as “test run” and deleted before system opens.
•    Before registration starts, we would encourage families to:
•    Open a Paypal account if you haven’t done so, this will greatly improve your registration experience.
•    Log in to your school account and confirm the following:
1.    Your username and password.  If you forget them, please click the “Forget Password” icon to update.
2.    Update your family contact information.
3.    Check our school website for class listings and teacher’s Bio under the heading “School Year 2016-2017”.
•    Language Class:
•    Grades PreK – 3 have the option of taking Chinese language classes either from 9:00am –10:50am or from 11:00am – 12:50pm
•    Chinese language classes for Grade 4 and above run from 9:55am-11:55am (New CSL4 class runs in this time period)
•    New students must be born before 12/31/2012 to enroll in Pre-K; before 12/31/2011 to enroll in Kindergarten; before 12/31/2010 to enroll in the 1st grade.
•    For all other grades, students will be evaluated on their language proficiency to determine their grade placement
•    Culture Class:
•    PreK and K students can only select preschool cultural classes titled “学前xxx”
•    Grades 1- 3 can register for the junior cultural classes “小班少儿文体课”.
•    Grades 4 and above, please choose “大班少儿文体课”
•    When a student is registered for a language class, first cultural class is free (excluding those with a special fee); second cultural class is $180/year
•    All registrations paid in full before 7/10/2016 will automatically receive a $50 per student early registration discount.
•    Registrations submitted or paid after 9/11/2016 will incur a $50 late fee.
•    Class spaces are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis determined by timing of full payment. PayPal payments are strongly favored. Credit card payments are accepted but will experience a delay in updating your payment status. No checks are accepted for online registrations
•    If your first-choice class is full, please register for your next most favorable class by sending an email to hxgny-waitinglist@googlegroups.com.
•    Please refer to Registration Policy for detailed instruction
•    Before 9/25/2016, each student can make one free transfer for language class and one free transfer for cultural class. After that, you will incur a $20 transfer fee for each change.June 5th HXGNY Open House (Registrations Open to All Families)
•    Our annual Open House will be held on Sunday 6/5/2016 from 10am-1pm at our White Plains High School facility.
•    We will have multiple registration counters there to assist with all registration-related questions, both to accept new registrations and to troubleshoot online registrations you already submitted. In addition to PayPal (most preferred) and credit card, we also take personal checks at on-site registration. There will be a $35 fee for each bounced check.
•    There will be extensive displays of posters about our curriculum, teachers and activities. Parents can talk with school leaders, teachers and other parents to get first-hand experience about our school. They can leaf through textbooks, visit classrooms and gym facilities, and experience the community life here. It is a great opportunity for both new and existing families to learn more about our new school year and new initiatives. Please spread the word and encourage anyone interested to attend this event.

本周日注册讲座: 5/22 10:00am, Registration Seminar, B Seminar Room2016-2017 学年课程注册将于五月三十一日对现有家庭开通。新学年中语言课和文化课班级都有相应增加，注册规定也有新的调整优化。为保证注册工作顺利进行，大纽约华夏中文学校将在本周日（5/22）10:00 am 在 B Building Seminar Room 举办 ”注册及课程介绍讲座”。 学校注册、教育团队将向大家介绍新学年注册规定，马立平和美洲华语两套教程的精髓和异同，CSL和AP课程信息等。 这对家长们了解华夏大纽约的教学理念和目标，根据自己家庭和孩子的特点选择合适的课程将有很大帮助。 这是大家了解学校重要教学信息并现场提问的好机会，请大家不要错过！

Registration for the 2016-2017 school year will open at 12 noon on Tuesday 5/31.   In order to keep our families informed with new changes, HXGNY will host a registration seminar this Sunday (5/22) at 10:00am in the B Building Seminar Room.  School registration and education teams will discuss registration policy, what are the similarities and difference of textbooks, both MLP and MZHY, and the different learning tracks including CSL.  This will help you choose the right course for your children based on their learning styles and family needs.   Don’t miss this great opportunity to get a better understanding of the school’s curriculum and operations, and have your questions answered!

Before registration starts, we would encourage families to:

华夏大纽约2016-2017学年注册通知 Calendar of Events for 2016-2017 Registration

• Sunday 5/22 10:00am, Registration Seminar， B Seminar Room
  • We will discuss registration policy, what are the similarities and difference of textbooks, 马立平 和 美洲华语，and the different learning tracks including CSL.  This will help you to choose the right course for your child based on the kid learning style and family needs.
  • PayPal users will enjoy much faster and easier registration.  We strongly suggest you get a PayPal account if you don’t have one yet.
• Tuesday 5/31 12 noon ,Online Registration Opens for Existing Families
  • 1-2 weeks prior to system opening, we will post the new school year’s information on the website, including class schedule, class description, teacher assignment if known, and teacher bios.  Links to these documents will be posted in future newsletters as they become available.
  • Please read the information and choose your classes carefully to minimize unnecessary changes and cancellations.
  • The system will be very busy during the first hour.  We have taken measures to increase server bandwidth, but it’s still possible for some users to experience delays in the first hour.  If that occurs, please just be patient and retry, and you will get through in due time.
• Friday 6/3 10:00am: Online Registration For New Families Opens
  • Please help spread the words among your friends who didn’t attend our school in 2015-2016.
• Sunday 6/5 10:00am -1:00pm Open House; On-Site Registration
  • Classroom visit; Textbook samples; Volunteers and teachers on site to answer your questions
  • On-site registration: If you are technology-challenged, volunteers are available to do it for you.
• Parent Class Registration Will Start in Mid-August. 
  • Classes begin one week after children’s classes.  Details will be published later.

Summer program on Intensive New SAT and English/Math Enrichment.  Sponsored by A+ Education Group

New SAT Prep and English/Math Enrichment Program will be offered this summer from 8/1 to 8/12 (9AM-5PM) at White Plains High School.
