3. Adult Culture Class Onsite Registration Open
We will offer onsite registration for adult culture class this Sunday in the H-Room by the information desk. If you want more information about classes we offer, or plan to take a class, please drop by the Information Desk and we will assist you in completing the registration process.
As a physician, Dr. Xu Jun had been in Africa between 5/18 to 6/2/2013. He spent 2 days in the leprosy village, and he saw total about 2420 patients during the two weeks.
Dr. Xu Jun graduated from Chinese medical school, and he came to US in 1988. He received training in Albert Einstein College and New York Medical College. He is currently practicing Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation in Greenwich, CT. He is an attending physician at Stamford hospital, CT and an assistant professor at New York Medical College. He would like to introduce our students and parents about the situation in Africa, especially the education and life of Africa youth, and our social responsibilities as a person living in US. He believes the meaning of life is to live in a purposeful life and have a driven to help somebody else.

We encourage 7th grade and above students to attend this education seminar.

二月十四日是农历正月十五，中国传统的元宵节，又称为“上元节”
February 14, the fifteenth day after Chinese New Year, is the first major Chinese festival of the year, the Lantern Festival. To celebrate this traditional holiday, HXGNY will host a Chinese costume day/lantern parade on 02/16. Students are encouraged to dress in traditional Chinese costumes. The parade will start at 11:15 am from the south gate of B building and go along the C building hallway. Pre-K to 3rd grade students will parade in groups of their classes. Other grades students, on voluntary basis, are also welcome to join as individuals or groups. Chinese goodie bags will be given out at the end of the parade. All participants should parade with a lantern, either purchased or homemade. Please see below for the Lantern Festival History and tips on how to make lanterns. You can also purchase lantern from the organizers on the day of the parade.
