华夏大纽约2015-2016学年注册特刊

新学年课程时间安排  –  三小时变为四小时

• 注册链接位于学校主页右上角。 直接的链接是http://reg.hxgny.org
• 目前只开通少儿语言课和文化课注册。成人文化课将于九月下旬开始注册
• 请仔细阅读Registration Policy后再注册
• 语言课选择：
  • PreK至三年级的语言课程有9:00am-10:50am 和 11:00am-12:50pm两个时段。请仔细确认您选择了正确的时段
  • 四年级以上语言课时间段是9:55am-11:55am
  • 学生的出生日期必须在12/31/2011以前，方可注册PreK; 注册K的，必须出生于12/31/2010以前；注册一年级的，必须出生于12/31/2009以前。更高年级的新学生将通过中文水平测试来决定年级安排
• 文化课选择:
  • PreK至三年级的学生请选择 “小班少儿文体课”。  请注意：preK 和 K两个年级的学生只能注册课名以“学前”打头的文化课。从一年级到三年级的学生必须选择课名不含“学前”的文化课
  • 四年级及以上的学生请选择“大班少儿文体课”
  • 如果学生已注册文化课，第一门文化课免费（有特别收费的课程除外）；第二门文化课$160/每年
• 7/5/15之前注册的学生，每人可享受$50优惠。9/7/2015以后注册将加收$50手续费
• 各班级位置安排以缴清费用的时间先后为优先。强烈建议使用PayPal支付。信用卡支付会有一定的时间耽搁。网上注册不接受支票
• 如果您注册时发现理想的班级已满，请选择其它班级注册，并发邮件至hxgny-waitinglist@googlegroups.com，我们会帮您排号
• 9/20/2015以前，每人在语言课和文化课中可以各免费转班一次。多次转班或9/20/2015后转班每次将加收$20转班费

5/31 星期天10:00am-1:00pm学校开放日及为所有家庭现场注册

5/31日星期天上午10:00am-1:00pm将举行一年一度的学校开放日，开放日当天我们会有多个注册台现场注册答疑，为所有新老家庭服务。不论您是需要现场注册，还是在网络注册后有疑问，我们都可以帮助您。现场注册可以接受支票付款。如支票被退回，将加收$35 的手续费。

开放日期间我们安排了内容丰富的介绍，参观和教材展示，对新家庭和现有家庭来说都是了解新学年的好机会。大家将有机会与教师，学校管理人员，家长及学生交流，并从他们那里听到关于HXGNY的第一手资料， 如语言课和文化课的设置，为孩子和成人安排的活动等等。希望大家广为宣传，介绍各界朋友参加，让更多的家庭了解和走进华夏大纽约。

Registration system opens at 12pm noon Thursday 5/28 for existing HXGNY families

• Please follow the Enroll link on the top right corner of the home page or go to http://reg.hxgny.org/Registration/login.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fRegistration to register for classes
• Currently, registration is only open for children’s Chinese classes and cultural classes.  Adult class registration will open in late September
• Please review Registration Policy carefully before registering for classes
• Language Class:
  • Grades PreK to Grade 3 have the option of taking Chinese language classes either from 9:00am – 10:50am or from 11:00am – 12:50pm.  Please carefully refer to the above schedule and select the correct time period you desire
  • Chinese language classes for Grade 4 and above run from 9:55am-11:55am
  • New students must be born before 12/31/2011 to enroll in Pre-K; before 12/31/2010 to enroll in Kindergarten; before 12/31/2009 to enroll in the 1^st grade.  For all other grades, students will be evaluated on their language proficiency to determine their grade placement
• Culture Class:
  • Grades PreK to Grade 3, please choose “小班少儿文体课”.  However, PreK and K students can only select preschool cultural classes titled “学前xxx” (Preschool xxx).  Only grades 1 to 3 can register for the regular 小班 junior cultural classes
  • Grades 4 and above, please choose “大班少儿文体课”
  • When a student is registered for a language class, first cultural class is free (excluding those with a special fee); second cultural class is $160/year
• All registrations paid in full before 7/5/2015 will automatically receive a $50 per student early registration discount.  Registrations submitted or paid after 9/7/2015 will incur a $50 late fee
• Class spaces are assigned on a first-come first-serve basis determined by timing of full payment.  PayPal payments are strongly favored.  Credit card payments are accepted but will experience a delay in updating your payment status.  No checks are accepted for online registrations
• If your first-choice class is full, please register for your next most favorable class by sending an email to hxgny-waitinglist@googlegroups.com.  Please refer to Registration Policy for detailed instruction
• Before 9/20/2015, each student can make one free transfer for language class and one free transfer for cultural class.  After that, you will incur a $20 transfer fee for each change.

May 31^th  HXGNY Open House (Registrations Open to All Families)

Our annual Open House will be held on Sunday 5/31 from 10am-1pm at our White Plains High School facility.  We will have multiple registration counters there to assist with all registration-related questions, both to accept new registrations and to troubleshoot online registrations you already submitted.  In addition to PayPal (most preferred) and credit card, we also take personal checks at on-site registration.  There will be a $35 fee for each bounced check.

There will be extensive displays of posters about our curriculum, teachers and activities.   Parents can talk with school leaders, teachers and other parents to get first-hand experience about our school.  They can leaf through textbooks, visit classrooms and gym facilities, and experience the community life here.  It is a great opportunity for both new and existing families to learn more about our new school year and new initiatives.  Please spread the word and encourage anyone interested to attend this event.

Registration Seminar This Sunday 5/17

2015-2016 学年课程注册将于五月底开通。 今年学校的课时设置、开课时间， PreK-K课程安排都将有很大变化， 给家长以更多选择。文化课数目、种类也将大幅增长。为保证注册工作顺利进行，大纽约华夏中文学校将在本周日（5/17）10:00 am 在 H Room (Seminar Room) 举办注册课程介绍讲座。学校注册、教育团队将向大家介绍新学年课程、注册规定，并现场解答家长提问。

注册开始前，我们希望家长们登录学校注册网站，验证以下内容。
1.       用户名及密码。 如果你忘记了注册名或密码， 请点击“Forget Password”图标，或发邮件到registration@hxgny.org
2.       检查账户余额，未付清欠款前将无法注册。 如有问题， 请发邮件到registration@hxgny.org。
注册开通前，学校将发布通知， 请大家注意收看。

Registration for the 2015-2016 school year will open late May.  This year, parents will enjoy more choice of different language sessions and more verities in culture class offering.   Prek and K curriculum is also completely re-hauled.   In order to ensure smooth operation, HXGNY will host a registration seminar this Sunday (5/17) at 10:00am in the H-Room.  The registration and education team will cover topics of the new class schedule, key registration policies, as well as host a live Q&A session.

Before registration starts, we would encourage families to log in to their account and check out the following:
– If you forget your username and password, please click the “Forget Password” icon, or send a request to registration@hxgny.org
– Check your account balance.  Families need to clear all outstanding balance before they can register for the new school year.  If you have questions regarding your account balance, please email registration@hxgny.org

大纽约华夏中文学校田径运动会 (Track and Field Event) 5/17

大纽约华夏中文学校田径运动会将于5/17下午在White Plains高中田径场举行。 运动会设有短跑，中短跑，跳远，跳绳，拔河等各种有趣比赛项目。每个项目设一,二,和三等奖。网上报名已经截止。 应家长要求，没有报名的家长可在比赛当天12点之前在 B-Building Seminar room 报名，交纳 $10报名费。学校将向每个参赛学生赠送一件大纽约华夏中文学校T-Shirt. 同时鼓励家长们踊跃购买成T-Shirt, 作为对此次运动会的赞助。午餐11：45开始在餐厅提供, 各位家长自行购买。比赛组委会将在同一时间分发t-shirt 和比赛号码。拿到号码和午餐结束后，参赛选手请于1点前赶到高中田径场报道，比赛1点准时开始。比赛预期3:30结束。如有疑问请电邮sports_hxgny@googlegroups.com。让我们在赛场上见。

HXGNY Track and Field Games will be held at the track and field stadium of White Plains High School on the afternoon of May 17. The event will include 50，100，2and 400 meters race, rope jumping, tug of war, and other fun games. No. 1, 2 and 3 will get prizes. Registration is now closed. You can still register on-site before 12pm in Cafeteria room of B-Building on 5/17, with an on-site registration fee of $10. Each registered student will get a free HXGNY t-shirt. Parents are encouraged to purchase the adult t-shirt to cover the expense of this Track and Field event. Lunch will start around 11:45pm in the cafeteria room for you to purchase. T-shirt and race bibs will be handed out to registrants at the same time. All participants need to report to the stadium before 1pm. The games are expected to finish around 3:30pm.
